The Mission of Ocean Culture
We believe in the value and importance of preserving the oceans, the life within
them and the people that they sustain.
To explore our multi-faceted world of oceans, above and below the surface
To develop connections between people and the oceans
To share knowledge and experiences of all that both threatens and enhances
the oceans through emotive images
To conserve our oceanic environment through capturing images of its reality
To capture the truth, beauty and simplicity of people and places connected
with the ocean
To educate in order to positively impact on shorelines and marine life

The moment you step aboard Alfie Buoy, you feel the smile tugging at the corners of your mouth. Another step, into the comfortable, slick and stylish seating area and you have been drawn into an ambience of nurturing luxury and pleasure. There's something about the combination of wood panelling, burnished by the natural light streaming through every angle of the yacht and the spotless, ivory coloured furnishings that seduce you into settling into this space. You will be tempted to accept from India, the welcome glass of chilled champagne, sample the exquisitely prepared canapés and sink into the serenity of this sublime area.
Or you could venture further, past the bar and Will, as he crafts perfect platters of fresh delights and down to the accommodation deck. The mind whirls at the possibility of being gently rocked into a restful sleep in the spa-like comfort of the double suites. Crisp linen tucks protectively into the circular beds, while sunlight pours its blessing into this secluded space - a true sense of sumptuousness.
Up to the magnificent sun-deck, which offers the opportunity of relaxing with a book and a glass of wine, cocktails in the evening and the smell of marinated salmon cooking on open coals. Long, sun-drenched days and idyllic evenings would be your pleasure on this impressively spacious flybridge. Greg, Alfie Buoy's captain, joins you while still being at the helm; his charming smile, congeniality and love for the sea make him exceptional company.
Alfie Buoy embraces its environment and lulls you into a the dream-like state of not knowing whether you're inside or out. You will find yourself reconsidering all that you ever believed about travelling. It's not merely about your destination but the joy of the journey, the how of getting there. Alfie Buoy offers the unique blend of elegance, efficiency and enjoyment to offer the consummate experience of time on the sea - savour its delights, life is too short not to!

A personal adventure by Max Burnett
For the last eight months, the idea of this adventure had become almost an obsession, with researching, planning and preparing taking up most of my spare time. The departure day felt as if it was never getting any closer, until I finally stepped off the plane to a weird sense of familiarity. It was the first time I'd set foot in Iceland but I couldn't shake the feeling that this place was somewhere I could quite happily never leave...
Portrait shoot with the fabulous Paula Diana at Cliveden House . Founder of Sigillus, a Luxury Lifestyle Management service and Nanny & Butler a leading global Bespoke Search Consultancy. it was a pleasure to spend time in the company of such an incredibly interesting character.
A documented journey by Max Burnett of the 15th Fire Flies tour - Geneva to Cannes 2015
The Fireflies annually traverse 1000+km across the Alps from Lake Geneva to Cannes, cycling over 18 mountains in just 8 days and arrive during the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival.
The Fireflies Tour was established in 2001 by Sandy Watson Scott (then Head of TV, M&C Saatchi) in recognition of relatives and friends’ battles with Cancer. The five cofounders are Jake Scott, Adrian Moat, Nick Livesey (Directors at RSA Films), Tim Page (Head of TV at Y&R) and Chris Haworth (Sports Photo Journalist). RSA Films is the premier sponsor of the Tour which from the outset has been generously supported by Film Directors Sir Ridley Scott & Tony Scott.
The Fireflies are committed to raising money for the Hammersmith Hospital, London, renowned as a world leader in treatment of Leukaemia and cancers of the Blood. Inspired by the courage it takes to fight Cancer the riders annually tackle the most gruelling climbs of the Tour de France; their motto is FOR THOSE WHO SUFFER WE RIDE.
Each year amateur cyclists from the ranks of the advertising and film world have taken up the challenge. Thanks to international media industry sponsors, to date the Fireflies have raised an incredible £1.5 million. 1 in 3 of us will be diagnosed with some type of Cancer in our lifetime. It is believed that Leukaemia is the model of all Cancers and achieving a greater understanding of this disease will help in the fight against all other forms of Cancer.
This year we will ride in memory of Professor John M. Goldman, 1938-2013, a world-renowned pioneer in CML, a genius and a gentleman who is greatly missed.
At the centre of The Loving Chair Company lies a family of audacious artists and courageous creators, who together design fabrics and produce bespoke pieces of furniture, soft furnishings and home accessories that add stylish usable works of art to interior and outside spaces.
